With the surround‐system Impaq 4000 Teufel is enter­ing a line of busi­ness which didn’t quite belong to their usual yet. This is a fully ade­quate home‐cinema‐system that pro­vides enough power to fill rooms up to 25 square meters with sound. The set con­sists of 5 indi­vid­ual speak­ers and a strong sub­woofer. The receiver within the scope of sup­ply is well known and none the less high graded. With its inte­grated DVD‐player it’s rather a top class prod­uct. Numer­ous mag­a­zines of the spe­cialised press eval­u­ated its sub­lime sound as very pos­i­tive. This one is among other gen­er­ated by a 6‐ channel‐amplifier inte­grated within the sub­woofer, with a 5 x 50 Watt sine out­put power for the speak­ers and 1 x 150 Watt sine out­put for the woofer. The speaker set per se con­vinces with com­pact shape and scores regard­ing the outer appear­ance. They can be eas­ily added to your exis­tent inte­rior with­out giv­ing the impres­sion of an alien ele­ment. On the con­trary, one is rather ask­ing him­self how such power can come out of these small units. The applied tech­nol­ogy on the speak­ers and the sub­woofer is called “Klip­pel”. Apart from strong and dynamic sounds this sta­tion is rec­om­mend­able for a high‐graded music plea­sure. By spred­ing the speak­ers when posi­tion­ing, an incred­i­ble vol­ume is being achieved. But heart of the sys­tem is the decoder. The DVD‐Preceiver IP 6000 DP is not only styl­ish, but sur­prises with an extremely flat hous­ing. Its drive will of course play all usual for­mats. The upscal­ing to 1080p is the ideal basis for enjoy­ing movies on you HD‐compatible screen. A mas­ter piece regard­ing vari­ety is as well the con­nec­tion port­fo­lio. Besides mod­ern HDMI con­nec­tions, one will find as well ports for older devices. Either scart or s‐video are no prob­lem at all. The receiver calls fur­ther­more a strongly recep­tive FM tuner its own. Not only it pro­vides a good sound, but will also mon­i­tor trans­mit­ted RDS‐data on its cen­tral dis­play. The remote con­trol, which takes respon­si­bil­ity of all nec­es­sary func­tions, is included in the scope of sup­ply.
